3 Reviews for Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium (Upgrade)23/01/2011When I loaded my brand new full version of Windows 7 Home Premium on my brand new Apple iMac (using Boot Camp to partition the drive), the product code did not work. I went on line and found that a lot of other people are having the same problem, but I could not find a solution. Microsoft's help site offered the following explanation for my problem: (1) I didn't enter the code correctly, (2) I was using counterfeit software; or (3) I was trying to use the same software on two different PCs and should buy a new license. IOW, I am either a moron or a thief. So with heavy heart, I sought help from Microsoft by telephone. After spending two days in Microsoft hell talking to reps around the world, I learned that, although the disc and box it came in were labeled "Home Premium," the disc contained Home Basic. Microsoft's proposed solution was to give me a Windows 7 Home Basic product code for me to load Home Basic on my PC and then I could BUY an update to Home Premium. Not a very good...02/07/2012Ignore the reviewer who gave no useful or credible information and probally only looked at the box or simply doesn't have a clue about computers in general and suggested just going and buying a mac....Amazon should have a filter for stupid "reviews" like that one. Anyhow this OS is simply great, it gives you everything you need and improves security without all the Vista pop ups. Everything here just works as advertised. Windows 7 as with all windows operating systems has 110% more functionality and capability than any mac with OSX, any user who knows anything and has used both systems knows this. The boot up time here is on par (depending on system) or better than mac even though that doesn't mean much in terms of a functioning OS. Everything works wonderfully, is easy to use, is very fast, I don't have to spend weeks searching for an overpirced mac version of simple progrms/games plus you can enjoy all your games old and new unlike OSX lion which killed PPC rosetta apps killing...02/11/2010The product was as described, the full version including both the 32 and 64 bit disks. I paid the same price as for the upgrade version which only comes with the 32 or 64 bit. The delivery was quick. I'm very happy with the product and service.
